›› How ORVCountry Got Started.

Well I wish I could say it was all well planned but it was not. A bunch of us get together and ride very often. If we are not all together then the wife and I are riding somewhere.

Off road riding in our little part of the woods was actually started by a tragedy in our family, the passing of our son due to a car accident but that we will not go into. After the loss we found ourselves lacking the drive we had before, this we now know was a natural thing but at the time it did not feel so natural. My wifes sister and her boyfriend at the time (now married) saw this and tried to busy us the one thing they did was bring their ATV's over to our house. We rode all day, laughing, playing and just having a wonderful day.

Shortly there after I went to the local ATV store and purchased 2, then went back and purchased another for the grand kids. Since that day it has been non stop excitement, joy, laughter and so much more. Nothing will ever replace our son Nick but this sure has filled a spot in our lives we would not give up for anything. So that is how we started in ATV's now for the site.

I have ran, operated many sites over the years. Designed and maintained all of them and still do. What I tend to do is make a site along my hobbies. I save material, write notes, plans and so on. Kind of like a on-line Diary of my web adventures and my outdoor activities. Well that is what I did and then I realized it had got so big that I thought why not publish it on the web, why not give to all what I have found and what my family and friends have done.

So here it is, myself, family and friends all in one brought to you and with the hopes that this will grow into something bigger than I could have ever imagined. With your input it can and will grow to something I could never dream of I know it. So come on what do you have to lose your on the internet now, join in and become apart of something fresh and new made for you and all that are Off Road enthusiasts like ourselves.

I have designed this site with all in mind, ease of use, a whole lot of Off Road riding information, a community designed for the avid ATV or Off Road rider as well as the more experienced. Maps and legends full of riding information, places to go and ride for a weekend or a vacation for one and all in your group. Take hold of this site and make it yours I promise you if you do you not only help us but all that come to the site will benefit from your knowledge. I am just the gate keeper, you are the one that will make ORVCountry grow, not I.

We welcome you and yours to our little world, for you to hopefully enjoy and maybe find something useful or make and meet some new friends you may chat with in the forum. We hope during some of our adventures we run across some of the visitors to the site. Maybe when you visit the map and add your marker to a place you have visited it will spark a interest and we will be there to check out your ATV - Off Road riding place. So look for a note from us if you add a place we just might be coming your way, we are always looking for new places, new adventures and most of all new friends to enjoy our past time with.
